Greece Pilgrimage Day 4

After early mass and breakfast, we stopped at an icon workshop to see a Greek Orthodox priest and his family paint icons. From there we went to the monastery of St. Luke, which started out as a modest chapel and expanded to a monastic compound in the 11th century. The main church still has original mosaics on the ceilings. St. Luke was known for healing those who came to him. Our tour guide Nikos explained the meanings of many of the beautiful mosaics. Then we finished the day by arriving at our hotel in Delphi for dinner.
