Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute Begins First Class Sept. 15

Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to tell you about an exciting opportunity to go deeper in your spiritual formation. In the years that I have been teaching Bible Studies in the Twin Cities, by far the most common comment I hear from the participants is that they are experiencing a deep hunger to know more about their Catholic faith. With that in mind, I am delighted to let you know that this September 15, the first class of the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute will begin at The Saint Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Catechetical Institute will offer a comprehensive under- standing of the Catholic faith, preparing participants more fully to pass on this faith as parents, ministers, teachers and adult Catholics in the workplace.

The curriculum is based on the four pillars of the Catholic Church and is covered in four 11 week modules over a two year period with classes beginning at The Saint Paul Seminary for the first module, then moving to Providence Academy in Plymouth for the second and third modules, and completing the fourth module back in the heart of the Archdiocese, The Saint Paul Seminary. With the main textbook being the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the pedagogy of the program centers around guiding the students toward the goal of the Beatific Vision. Experiencing the Catholic faith as an organic whole, students will receive that which Article One of the Catechism of the Catholic Church refers to as the “plan of sheer goodness.” This manner of presenting the faith will not only enrich and prepare you for Christian service, but will clearly outline the roadmap to heaven.

I invite you to prayerfully consider taking advantage of this great opportunity to not only learn more about your faith, but to discover the plan that will transform your life. You can click here to download an application to the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute. The first class is limited to 150, so do get your applications in to The Saint Paul Seminary without delay. Should you have any questions, information can be found at: www.saintpaulseminary.org or you can call Kelly at (612) 812-6241.

Blessings!
