A dear friend of ours, Vicki Kueppers, a vocalist and cantor, has recently recorded a meditative CD of sacred songs for Lent, "Lenten Reflections." The recording also features pianist Steven C and the vocal ensemble "Voice Trek." Check out her website www.musicfortheliturgicalseason.com to hear samples from her CD and also order there as well. Her music and ministry has blessed our family and we're sure you will be blessed as well by her clear, beautiful voice.
This was the final song that Danielle Rose performed for a wonderful group of family and friends who gathered to bid her farewell before she gave her life to God and entered a convent in Texas. It is Danielle's prayer that each child of God will know Christ in the Eucharist, and that through Him we will recognize that we are all one Body. As Danielle will no longer be able to see her family and friends, she comforted them through the knowledge that she will see them each day in the Eucharist. I encourage all of you to pray for Danielle and an increase in vocations in our country. As the Eucharist is truly the center of Danielle's life, may it become ever more the center of our lives!
Yesterday my whole family drove to Duluth Minnesota to watch the final concert of Danielle Rose. She put together a wonderful concert as her final musical statement before entering a convent in Texas. What an inspiration it was to see her friends and family turn out to honor her and participate with her as she honored the Lord. I will keep you updated as to when her next two CD's become available. She has already recorded a CD that honors Mother Teresa and a second CD about vocations. Well done Danielle!!!
You will get a kick out of Bob Rice and Chris Padgett. Bob teaches at Franciscan University in Steubenville and Chris is the former lead singer of the contemporary gospel group "Scarecrow & Tinmen."
