“The Meaning of Suffering According to St. Paul” by Brian Pizzalato

I know that there are a number of you who struggle with various kinds of suffering in your life. Pope John Paul II said that if you cannot attach meaning to your suffering you can fall into despair. With as much suffering as there is in the world today, I know that you appreciate good materials to read. I wanted to share this fine article with you from Brian Pizzalato on "The Meaning of Suffering According to St. Paul." You will notice that if you click "suffering" under the subjects to the right that I also posted an article months ago by a similar title.

Last fall, I conducted an all day retreat for the catechists of the Diocese of Duluth, MN. Bishop Schnurr and Brian were in charge of the retreat and we had a wonderful time. Brian does a great job of combining theology and philosophy in his teachings giving the student the full picture of the topic. This last year Brian taught The Great Adventure: A Journey Through the Bible throughout the Diocese of Duluth with good results. Brian has a M.A. in Theology and a M.A. in Philosophy.
