Upcoming Studies for Fall 2009 - Spring 2010
I will be teaching the "Great Adventure: A Journey through the Bible" next year, a 24 week course overviewing the entire Bible. It has been seven years since this has been presented live at the Twin City Bible Studies and I am excited to offer this important course as it is core to understanding God's plan of sheer goodness. I invite you to join us and bring a friend as well. We hope to be offering children's classes at some sites so the whole family can take this journey together.
Registration forms will be available online soon as well as the at the following locations: Church of St. Paul, Ham Lake; Holy Name of Jesus, Medina; Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bloomington and St. John the Baptist, Savage.

Spring 2009 Bible Studies in the Twin CitiesPsalms: The School of Prayer
With the upcoming Synod, The Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church, called by Pope Benedict XVI for October 2008, much discussion has taken place regarding a technique of prayer called Lectio Divina or, Divine Reading. Lectio Divina is a technique in which "the Word of God is so read and meditated that it becomes prayer intended" (CCC 1177; See also CCC 2707).
With this in mind, we have chosen to write a study on the Book of Psalms and allow people the opportunity to rediscover this beautiful and prayerful way of reading the Scriptures and teach them how to make it an integral part of their daily life. I will be teaching this 10 week study on the Book of Psalms at all four locations in the Twin Cities: Church of St. Paul, Ham Lake; Holy Name of Jesus, Medina; Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bloomington and St. John the Baptist, Savage.
